Munich will be hosting the ESC Congress in 2018. The ESC, short for European Society of Cardiology, is known as the world’s largest cardiovascular congress. The European Society of Cardiology is a non-profit medical society led by expert volunteers. It unites Member National Cardiac Societies, cardiovascular ESC sub-specialty communities, Affiliated Cardiac Societies, distinguished Fellows of the ESC and individual members from around the world. The network allows the members to be in touch with global cardiology communities. The Congress of the European Society of Cardiology is the most powerful and authoritative forum of the cardiology community. Innovations of leading scientists have made the congress a real phenomenon of international medical life. Understanding of social problems in health care is supported by advanced consideration of medical challenges, high-tech diagnostic and treatment methods.
The ESC 2018 will feature more than 500 expert sessions and 11,000 abstracts. Attendees to ESC 2018 will have the opportunity to network with peers and learn about the latest, cutting-edge technologies in the field. The European Society of Cardiology comprises 6 associations, 15 working groups, 6 councils and was founded in September 1950 in Paris.
The city of Munich is expecting 30000 heart specialists from around the world during the 5 days of the world’s largest cardiology meeting. Munich will be hosting the congress for the fourth time, the city hosted the Congress in 2004, 2008 and 2012 already.
