Take A Stroll Through The Scenic Park Of Schloss Nymphenburg

Here you can enjoy a romantic walk through a scenic garden of a different time. Castle Nymphenburg was the summer residence of the heir to the throne, Max Emanuel, who was born in 1662. He resided in the castle with his wife Henriette Adelaide of Savoy and reigned from 1680-1726. He was forced to leave Bavaria in 1704 as a consequence of his defeat in the Spanish War of Succession and only returned 1715.

Nymphenburg park is based on the design of Domonique Girard and built with the cooperation of Joseph Effner. There is an entrance fee at the museum of the castle, however, it is free to walk around the beautiful garden and take in the spirit of the Bavarian heir of the throne.
