This baroque masterpiece was built by the two Asam brothers between the years 1733 and 1746. The Asamkirche was originally intended to be a private church for the two brothers, where they could express their admiration and respect for god. However, the General public protested and the church was opened for public use. The church is covered in impressive ornaments and embellishments, holds historical and architectural value and is definitely worth a visit. Don’t forget your camera!
